1.
What should I wear for practicing Yoga?
Stretchy non-restrictive
clothing. i.e.
Leotards and leggings or shorts and
t-shirt. Please do not wear bulky track
pants for Yoga as they can restrict your
movements. Also please do not wear jewellery. Please note that yoga is a
barefoot practice.
2. Is
it better to eat before or after
practicing Yoga?
Yoga must be practiced with an empty
stomach, bowels and bladder. Students
should wait 3-4 hours after a large meal
before commencing yoga. At least 2 hours
after a light meal (i.e. fruit or toast
and cup of tea).
3. Do
I need to purchase any
equipment?
Serious students often purchase their
own
equipment for home practice. You
will need
Yoga Mats,
blankets,
bricks,
Wedge,
belts,
Bolster
and and yoga videos for those days you
can't get to class. Consult your Yoga teacher to
get more information on what all
equipments you need.
4. If
I have an injury can I practice Yoga?
Yes Yoga is therapeutic. Sore backs,
necks knees and other injuries can be
accommodated in a class.
Yoga is also helpful and therapeutic for
ailments such as elevated blood
pressure, glaucoma, arthritis.
Persons who are not completely healthy
should only practice under the guidance
of an experienced yoga teacher.
5. What is Meditation?

which is not easily described, like the
